Distracted driving just as dangerous as driving after drinking

Posted by Unknown | Mar 13, 2014 | 0 Comments

The U.S. Government is focusing on informing the public of distracted driving this month in an attempt to reduce the number of fatal car accidents that take place each year due to the issue.

Operating smart phones inside motor vehicles is considered one of the most  hazardous distractions a driver could face while on the roadways. Statistics regarding this issue reveal that using a cellphone while driving is just as dangerous as being at the legal limit behind the wheel.

Distracted driving killed 5,474 people in 2009, and left an additional 448,000 injured.

Please contact the Seattle DUI defense lawyers of Cowan, Kirk & Gaston Law Firm by calling 866-822-1230 if you or someone you know has been charged with driving under the influence in Seattle.
