When it Comes to DUI Law, I Wrote the Book

In addition to actively practicing DUI litigation in the Seattle and King County area, the attorneys of Cowan Kirk Gaston are also proud to contribute to the practice of DUI law nationwide. I literally wrote the book on how to defend DUIs in this state: Defending DUIs in Washington, a textbook for other lawyers who defend these complicated cases.

In 1995, along with eleven lawyers from around the country, I founded the National College for DUI Defense, which is presented each year at Harvard Law School. I've lectured in 19 states to other lawyers on how to defend DUI cases. My experiences have taught me one simple truth: if you bring to the courtroom the ironclad will to win, coupled with a commitment to know more about the case, the facts, and the science involved in DUIs than anyone else in the courtroom, success will follow.
