SEATTLE MUNICIPAL COURT

No municipal court in this state handles more DUI related cases than Seattle Municipal Court.  The courthouse is located at 600 5th Ave., Seattle, WA  98104.  The courthouse is on the corner of 5th and James, directly across the street from the King County Jail.  Due to the large volume of cases that SMC handles, the lawyers at Cowan Kirk have literally handled hundreds of Seattle Municipal cases.  There is a parking garage on the east side of Seattle Municipal, accessible on 6th Avenue, James Street and Cherry Street.  Many of the parking spaces are reserved for City vehicles so you must arrive early if you want to park in the City garage.  All criminal matters are held on the 9th, 10th or 11th floors.  Occasionally arraignments are handled on the 3rd floor.
