On Friday morning around 3:00 a.m., former actress Amanda Bynes was suspected of driving under the influence and taken into custody by police in West Hollywood.

Bynes, who in 2010 announced that she was retiring from acting, had just turned 26-years-old. She was near a patrol car in West Hollywood when she tried to surpass it at an intersection. Instead, she made contact with the side of the vehicle.

Paint was lost on both vehicles, and Amanda was arrested for driving under the influence. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the accident. Bynes remained in jail throughout the day on Friday.
