WA Police Officer on Leave After DUI

Posted by Unknown | Mar 06, 2014 | 0 Comments

A police sergeant in Spokane, Washington is now on paid administrative leave following an arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run.

Bradley Thoma, a 10 year veteran of the force, is suspected of drunken driving in connection with a hit-and-run that occurred on Farwell Road over the weekend. Police say Sherry Prickett, 51, was stopped at a red light when she was rear ended by Thoma's Dodge Ram pickup truck.

After the collision Thoma attempted to flee the scene, but was followed by Prickett and another driver. Prickett and the other witness claim that Thoma's truck routinely crossed over the center divider and drove up onto the shoulder of the road. Thoma was eventually stopped by police and handed over to State Patrol for processing.

Officer Thoma was placed on administrative leave the day after his arraignment.
