Father Charged With DUI/Child Endangerment in Crash

Posted by William Kirk, Partner | Jun 27, 2014 | 0 Comments

A Washington man was charged with suspected driving under the influence and child endangerment following a car accident. Police say that the unidentified Federal Way man lost control of his car and flipped over off the street. The man had his three young children in the car at the time, reports KOMO News.

Investigators say that the man was going north on I-5 when he crashed his car in Thurston County. The man somehow flipped his car and ended up upside down in a grassy area next to the road. The police discovered the man's three young children in the car at the time -- ages 5, 7, and 10. The children fortunately suffered only minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The 32-year-old father could now face imprisonment and the other penalties associated with a DUI along with possibly losing custody of his children stemming from the child endangerment charge.

In addition, if the man is convicted of the DUI, he could be sent to jail and pay significant fines.
