Police arrested former Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar for driving under the influence in Cleveland on Sunday, September 29.

According to a police statement, 49-year old Kosar was driving alone in his vehicle when he was stopped about 2:45 a.m. for speeding. The police officers smelled alcohol and had Kosar take sobriety tests. He was then taken to jail.

Kosar went public and attributed his slurred speech to the head injuries he suffered from when he was still playing for the NFL. He also admitted his addiction to pain medications, his recent divorce, and money problems.
