Three DUI arrests were made by state troopers in a span of almost two hours on Fairgrounds Road in Central Kitsap in the early morning of May 11.

The first arrest happened at about 2 a.m. when a trooper chased a car driven by 25-year-old man on Bucklin Hill Road who refused to pull over. The car crashed into a dirt embankment at Faigrounds Road. The driver was charged with suspicion of felony eluding and driving under the influence.

The second arrest happened around 3 a.m. when troopers stopped a speeding car driven by a 25-year-old woman, who refused to take a breath test, and the third arrest happened around 4 a.m. when a car was rear-ended by a pickup driven by a 24-year-old man. The pickup driver was subdued after he attempted to flee and was reported to have a blood-alcohol level over twice the legal limit.
