I-5 accident injures 5 in Seattle

Posted by Unknown | Mar 12, 2014 | 0 Comments

Three motor vehicles and a semi-truck were involved in a collision on Interstate 5 late Monday night that left five people with varying degrees of injuries.

All of the vehicles were northbound when a 31-year-old driver lost control of his Mitsubishi Eclipse, and crashed into two other vehicles. His car eventually came to a stop underneath a semi-truck. He had to be cut out of the wreckage, and was immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center.

Three people in the other two vehicles were also injured in the collision, and one of the drivers was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. During the investigation, and the cleaning process of the accident, the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 were closed for five hours.
