Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and this holiday is often accompanied by celebrations and festivities that involve the consumption of alcohol.
Due to the increased amount of people on the roadways, more police officers will be patrolling the streets for drivers breaking the law. There will also be sobriety checkpoints set up to identify intoxicated drivers. Police will be looking for distracted drivers, alleged drunk drivers, and drivers not using their seat belts properly.
Law enforcement agencies have recommended that partygoers designate a sober driver before consuming alcohol and that they make sure the designated driver is supplied with non-alcoholic drinks throughout the night.
