Man attempts to flee police after hit-and-run crash

A Seattle police officers suffered from minor injuries when a man attempted to flee from police after an alleged DUI accident.

According to officials in the case, the incident began just after 11 p.m. when a witness called police after seeing a car hit another car on MLK Jr. Way South.

The car's driver fled the scene after striking the car. Police began to pursue the driver and when they found his car, he got out of the vehicle and began to run on foot. Police were able to catch up with the man and once reaching him, a short struggle broke out and one police officer suffered from minor injuries.

The officer was taken to the hospital to be treated and the 38-year-old driver was arrested for DUI, hit-and-run collision, obstruction of a police officer and negligent driving.
