Seattle police officer arrested for DUI

Posted by Unknown | Mar 12, 2014 | 0 Comments

Early Saturday morning, a Seattle police sergeant was arrested for driving under the influence and involvement in a hit-and-run accident.

According to the State Patrol, officers reported that the sergeant committed a series of traffic violations in the department-leased Chevrolet Impala.  The sergeant was stopped by police at Western Avenue and Spring Street.

The officer refused to take field sobriety tests.  He did take a portable breath test at the scene, and alcohol was not a factor.  A blood test was ordered and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

Charges have not been filed, but the case is expected to go to King County District Court.
