960 DUI arrests made in King County over holidays

960 arrests were made over the holidays in King County of drivers under suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, from Nov 24 – Jan 2, DUI patrols in King County made a significant number of arrests.  There were 3,812 arrests made across the state of Washington.

The number of arrests was up significantly compared to last years' 876 arrests.  According to the commission, the law enforcement agencies that participated in the survey were from “Auburn, Bellevue, Black Diamond, Burien, Clyde Hill, Covington, Des Moines, Enumclaw, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kent, Kirkland, Maple Valley, Mercer Island, Normandy Park, North Bend, Pacific, Redmond, Renton, Sammamish, SeaTac, Seattle, Snoqualmie and Tukwila.”
