Oak Harbor man faces DUI and vehicular assault charges

Posted by Unknown | Mar 12, 2014 | 0 Comments

A 22-year-old man from Oak Harbor is currently facing felony vehicular assault and DUI charges after he drove his motorcycle into a parked car, resulting in the injuries of his passenger.

According to a lawsuit brought against the man by prosecutors with the Island County Superior Court, the man was riding his motorcycle with his 24-year-old friend on the back. The man was allegedly intoxicated and crashed his motorcycle into a parked car. The man's friend slid into the car and suffered a head injury.

The man's friend recovered from his head injury and is not helping the prosecution in their case against the 22-year-old. If convicted of the charges against him, the man could face several years in prison.
