Man receives 29-month sentence for DUI charge

A man has received a 29-month sentence after striking five pedestrians in an alleged drunk driving accident.

The 43-year-old man plead guilty this month to three counts of vehicular assault and one count of reckless driving in an accident that sent one person to the hospital.

The incident occurred on October 28 when the victims were walking from the ShowBox SoDo in an unmarked crosswalk and the 43-year-old man struck them with his car. According to police, the man's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.29 after the accident.
