The “Drive Hammered, Get Nailed” campaign that took place over the holiday season across the state of Washington has released its results. King County had over 800 arrests during the time.
The additional law enforcement was on the roads during the time period of Nov. 25 to Jan. 2 and during this time 876 people were arrested for a DUI on King County. Statewide, there were 3,577 people arrested. The extra patrol was put into place after impaired drivers killed 491 people in Washington in 2009.
