Several police agencies to patrol during Seafair

Posted by Unknown | Mar 10, 2014 | 0 Comments

Police officials will be on the water this weekend for the annual Seafair event to keep an extra eye out for people who are driving a boat while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Multiple agencies will be joining forces in order to patrol Friday through Sunday during all the activities on Lake Washington. Proctor Landing on Mercer Landing will have a temporary 60-foot dock set up to accommodate the extra marine patrol.

Law enforcement agencies patrolling over the weekend will include Mercer Island Police and Marine Control, King County Sheriff's Department Marine Patrol and Seattle Police and Harbor Control. Proctor Landing will also include Breathalyzers and holding cells to detain people who are arrested for alcohol-related offenses.
