A study has shown that drunk driving arrests among women have grown drastically over the last few years. The Transportation Department reported that the incidence of female drunk driving arrests has grown 28.8% from 1998 to 2007.

The same report showed that drunk driving arrests are down 7.5% among men for the same time period. However, there were still many more men arrested than there were women with 626,371 and 162,493 arrests respectively.
