Bothell Municipal Court

The Bothell Municipal Court is located at 10116 183rd Street, Bothell, WA  98011.

The City of Bothell Municipal Court handles all misdemeanor and gross misdemeanors matters, including all DUIs, which occur within city limits.  The courtoom also serves as City Council Chambers.  Security lines are not typically long, but clients are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before any scheduled hearing.  Parking is pretty limited.  The City is represented by the City Prosecuting Attorney.  

The Presiding Judge is the Honorable Michelle Gehlsen.  

Hundreds of DUI cases are prosecuted each year in Bothell Municipal Court.  The attorneys at Cowan Kirk have handled countless cases in this courthouse. Depending on the facts of your case, your DUI charge is likely to be filed within 3-4 weeks of the offense date.  Your first appearance, arraignment, will be held within two weeks the date that the criminal complaint is filed against you.  Your next court date, following your intitial appearance, will likely occur 4-5 weeks following the arraignment.
