Man sentenced to 8 1/2 years in vehicular homicide case

Posted by Unknown | Mar 12, 2014 | 0 Comments

A 51-year-old man from Kirkland was sentenced to 8 1/2 years in prison for causing an accident last summer that killed two teenagers.

The man had been driving his SUV down I-5 when he crashed into a vehicle that was disabled and parked on the side of the highway. Two 18-year-old high school students were killed in the crash. The man was found to have a blood-alcohol content that was twice the limit allowed in the state of Washington.

The man pled guilty to the charge of vehicular homicide and will begin serving his jail sentence this summer.
