Two BUIs issued on one boat

Posted by Unknown | Mar 12, 2014 | 0 Comments

Seafair weekend saw 71 arrests for boating under the influence, and two of those arrests were for drivers driving the same boat.

Four hours after the owner of the vessel was arrested for BUI, another man driving the boat was also arrested. The owner was stopped after violating a “No Go Zone” and the second driver was pulled over after he was seen speeding through a “No Wake Zone” on Sunday.

The second driver was given the keys to the boat when a woman, who was friends with the boat's owner, handed it over to him. She was not on the boat during the second arrest, which lead to the police impounding the vessel.
