Fort Lewis man charged with felony DUI

Posted by Unknown | Mar 10, 2014 | 0 Comments

A man from Fort Lewis has been charged with felony drunken driving charges after police found him passed out behind the wheel.

Witnesses claim that they spotted the man passed out behind the driver's seat in his vehicle around 1:40 a.m. The witness then told detectives that they tapped the window to wake up the man, but he flicked them off.

The witness then followed the man while he weaved through traffic before slamming into two cars before coming to a stop. The defendant told police that the officer that arrested him was drunk.

The man is currently being held on $250,000 bail and has been charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license.
