Biography of Aaron J. Wolff
of Counsel to Cowan Kirk Gaston Law Firm
Aaron comes to the Cowan Kirk Gaston Law Firm as of counsel after being a partner at the well-known Hayne & Wolff Law Firm in Bellevue. He attended college at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating with honors from the Seattle University School of Law, Aaron became a DUI prosecutor for the cities of Kirkland and Tukwila. During his tenure as a prosecutor, he successfully prosecuted hundreds of DUI cases. In 2003, Aaron joined the Law Firm of Stephen W. Hayne, where he has limited his practice to defense of DUI’s and other serious traffic offenses. In 2007, he was named partner in that firm.

Aaron is a graduate of the National College of DUI Defense, the DRE Drug Evaluation classification overview program and is a NHTSA qualified administrator of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Washington State utilizes the BAC Datamaster breath testing device manufactured by National Patent Analytical Systems in all DUI prosecutions. In 2004, Aaron completed the BAC Datamaster.training program at National Patent’s Datamaster manufacturing facility in Mansfield, Ohio.
In 2007 and 2009, Aaron was a presenter at the annual DUI seminar where several hundred DUI practitioners throughout Washington attend. In 2007 he was featured in Washington State Law & Politics Magazine as “Who’s Who in DUI/DWI Law.” He served as co-chair of The 26th Annual Criminal Justice Institute which is a two day legal education conference sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association and attended by both prosecutors and defense attorneys.

Married with two young sons, Aaron is very active in his community. In his free time, Aaron is an avid sports fan and also served as co-legal counsel to the grassroots organization “Save Our Sonics.” |
